What was the highlight of Hostel Casa Eugenia

Budget place with quiet garden.

The place have big garden which is quite quiet and nice for just relaxing. There is a small kitchen also which is a plus. The rooms have windows! Most accommodations in Cartagena don’t so you can open them and get fresh air in the room. The staff is great and also you can buy refreshments and beer from the reception.

The rooms can be renovated but still OKish. It’s quite simple but you don’t need much more to be honest. The bathroom is small but also OK.

Basic

The lady on reception was very nice and the location is great, top bars and restaurants near by.

Our room had a very uncomfortable and squeaky bed so we moved to another room which was a little better. Overall the hostel is very basic in style and function - cold shower, small bathroom etc.

The hostel is located at a 5 minutes walk from the historic center, and the area is rather safe. There are also many restaurants nearby, and the staff is nice.

The room was not really tidy, the bathroom a bit small and an airco would definitely be nice.

Expensive for what it is

The location is pretty good

The staff didn't know how to use the EFTPOS and we had to go to the ATM really early morning.

Basic hostel, but ok to spend a few nights there

The hostel is quite close to the historical centre of the town, but has seen better days.

Some renovations of the hostel are very necessary.

Great location, staff were friendly.

The mattress must have been new because it was still covered in plastic, Felt like we were sleeping on a pile of chip wrappers! Shame because It wasn't a bad mattress. Shower had no pressure at all. We left after one night, there are many other places around that are similarly priced but much nicer. Mosquitoes in the room.

Very friendly staff, perfect location in vibrant and...

Very friendly staff, perfect location in vibrant and colorful Getsemani, excellent WIFI (they must have improved the connection after numerous complaints here). A simple location but has everything that you need to explore Cartagena. Best thing is the quiet garden. You feel totally disconnected from the hot and loud city - the perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself. Plus: They have an adorable little cat!

The rooms are simple. If you are searching for luxury other then in the nature of the beautiful garden, this might not be your place.

The staff were very kind and it's in a great location.

The room definitely had bed bugs. I am 100% certain. The sheets didn't fit the bed properly and came off when you slept and there were little blood stains on the sheets. Really bad.
